QUAN'S LATEST RANT (I REFUSE TO CALL THIS A BLOG)

MY SABBATICAL.

Got some bad news for you guys.

Brace yourself.

Due to some personal and professional matters I'm dealing with (i.e. working two jobs, taking care of my sick mom and getting ready for my upcoming wedding) my available time to devote to this comic strip and website has diminished considerably.

As a result, I'm going to have to take an indefinite break from making regular updates to this site. And yes, this means no more blogs for a bit, too (okay, you right-wingers can stop cheering now).

I know this may devastate one or two of you out there, but since only a handful of you were visiting this site regularly anyway up to this point, it's not that big a deal.

I try to keep about 10 to 20 strips ahead of schedule, so that I'll always have something to post every week. But my schedule has become so hectic it has been really hard to find time to draw new comic strips. My posting schedule has caught up with the strips I have finished, and until my schedule lightens up a bit, I can't make the time to draw up any more of the slew of scripts I have written.

If more people were paying attention to this strip, I might have more pressure to make time, but as my counter indicates, my efforts to promote the site haven't been very successful. (shame on you if you've been to this site and haven't told anybody else about it!)

It's not the end of the world for he Unbeatable Heroes, though. This site isn't going anywhere, and I will be adding to some of the other areas of the site soon. I want to post all of my rants to date in the forums section, so that people who want to read my wild and off-color opinions can get to them without having to find a specific strip in the archives. I have some new sketches I want to put in the portfolio section, and I have some unfinished bios of key characters to add.
And I will be back to add new strips, although I just can't say when. Once again, I want to have about 20 strips finished and ready to post before I jump back in. it will be worth the wait, though: my next few story arcs introduce the rest of the main cast, and launch into my colossal epic, "The Gerbil Wars." You don't wan to miss that when it drops.

In addition to that, I am currently talking with two magazines in Flint and Ann Arbor about featuring my strip in their publications. As soon as those deals are finalized, I'll announce it here first.

In the meantime, live your lives, make moves, live long and prosper, play Magic: the Gathering, and dowhatchalike. If you want the inside scoop on Unbeatable Heroes and want to be the first to know when new strips become available, email me at quantus@unbeatableheroes.com and I'll put you on the mailing list. And give me your opinions on how the strips has been so far! I'd love to hear your input.

Don't think of this as "goodbye,' think of this as "I'll see you soon."

Until then, take care of yourselves.

Quan.

Song of the week I'll give you a whole album this time. Jay-Z's Black Album. This is a guy who took a break and came back stronger than ever. If he can do it...
